Spring-time in the Pacific Northwest is more often than not a dismal affair. Heavy, overcast skies seem to bear down on you every day, cold, wind driven rain cuts straight through all those layers of sweaters your wearing. Aside from the longer sunlight hours is almost indiscernible from winter. I don't know about you, but I sure could use some bright, sunshiny yellow to brighten this cloudy spring day.

My morning doesn't start until I've had that first cup of rich, black coffee fresh from my french press. Its a true love affair between me and the roasted bean. Once upon a time, I even use to work for a specialty coffee roaster. Getting to sip and sample exotic coffees from around the world every day was truly bliss. As I sit here drinking my morning cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, I suddenly feel nostalgic for those days which led me on a quest to find the best coffee related products on Etsy... The Spring Equinox is next week, meaning longer days, warmer weather, and the liberation of all those adorable short sleeve shirt, skirts and dresses from the forgotten corners of our closets. This spring season, expect to see a lot of soft, muted earth tones paired with bright pastels like yellow, pink in every shade, and bold turquoise, Pantone's color of the year. Styles will be very glamorous and girlie, focusing on light textured fabrics, ruffles, long chandelier earrings, and big, bold ... Continue reading ...

For me, spring marks the beginning of wine tasting season. I frequently make weekend trips into Oregon's key wine region, the Willamette Valley. I love to see the landscape change from season to season-the lush green of new spring growth, the plump grapes of summer, and the fiery reds and golds of the grape leaves after the fall harvest. Any wine lover would adore any of this week's picks.

I've always been a fan of Mardi Gras. Not so much for the drunken revelry or the bead collecting, but for the costumes. For me, Mardi Gras is a way to fill my need to dress up so I'm not going through withdrawals by the time Halloween rolls around in the fall. Here are a few items that will help you accessorize both yourself and your home for a festive Mardi Gras party.

As a small business person, it can be hard to find tools and supplies to meet your needs-on a tight budget, and requiring smaller quantities than some commercial producers offer. If your like me, you try to do as much of it as you can yourself to save on cash. And, sometimes, a seller get so good at creating their own personalized packaging or retail displays that it grows into another business for them. Today's Etsy picks feature Etsy sellers offering products and services to help other sell... Continue reading ...
